Overview
Athanasia Tzanou studied Psychology in Rethymnon Crete and received her BSc (Hon) in 2004. After studying immunochemical and behavioural methods for neuroscience, she enrolled in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Programme in the Brain and Mind Sciences and obtained her MSc in 2009. In her PhD dissertation she studies the electrophysiological and morphological properties of neurons in the rat superior colliculus and their synaptic connections with brain nuclei that are involved in oculomotion.
